What is the EU Family Member Visa?
The EU Family Member Visa allows non-EU nationals to legally join their European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA), or Swiss relatives in Spain. This visa is the first step towards obtaining the EU Family Member Residence Card, which grants a 5-year residence permit with the right to live and work in Spain.
This visa applies to:

What are the process
Family Reunification Visa Application Process
1. Submit the Application
Applications must be submitted in person at the Spanish Consulate or Visa Application Center.
2. Provide Biometric Data
Applicants must have their fingerprints and facial image captured.
3. Processing Time
Standard: 15 days.
Extended: Up to 45 days (if further documents are required)..
4. Receive Visa & Travel to Spain
Once approved, the visa must be used within its validity period.
5.Apply for the EU Family Member Residence Card
Within 90 days of arrival, applicants must register in Spain and apply for their 5-year residence permit.
6. Obtaining a Foreigner Identity Card (TIE):
Within one month of arrival, the family member must apply for the TIE at the Immigration Office or Police Station.
