    Process to Obtain the Non-Lucrative Residence Visa

    The non-lucrative residence visa must be applied for in the applicant’s country of origin or their last place of legal residence. It is essential to verify this requirement with the corresponding consulate, as specific conditions may vary depending on the applicant’s nationality and consular jurisdiction.

    1. Submission of the application

    The application must be submitted in person at the corresponding Spanish Consular Office.

    4. Visa collection

    5. Arrival in Spain

    Once the non-lucrative residence visa is granted, the applicant has 90 days to travel to Spain.

    6. Obtaining a Foreigner Identity Card (TIE):

    Within the first 30 days after entry, the applicant must apply for the Foreigner Identity Card (TIE) at the corresponding Immigration Office or Police Station.

    Calculation for the main applicant:
    400% of the annual IPREM (12 payments) → €7,200 × 4 = €28,800
    Calculation per additional family member.
    100% of the annual IPREM (12 payments) → €7,200 × 1 = €7,200

    Criminal Record Certificate

    The certificate must confirm the absence of criminal records from the last five years, issued by the country or countries of residence.
